Our
Goals

Members of the Nebraska Renaissance share a belief that the best way to ensure the entire state of Nebraska is a vital area well into the 21st century is
to keep our smaller communities thriving. Just like the pioneers who came to Nebraska in the 19th and 20th centuries, our citizens today display an incredible capacity to create, to prosper, to provide a quality of life and to maintain a work ethic second to none.

While our state's metropolitan areas are so critical to Nebraska's future, it is important to maintain a balance of stable, healthy rural communities and our growing cities. It is from the smaller communities that high-caliber post-secondary students emerge, thanks to our great K-12 education system. Many of the goods and services needed by business and industry in Omaha, Lincoln |
and other larger communities are produced in our small towns. And of course, Nebraska's tremendous agricultural and livestock industry is dependent on smaller communities, but also supports the overall economy of the entire state.
